The Lagos Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) congratulates Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy, Dr Obafemi Kadri Hamzat on their successful inauguration for the second term in office.
It is our hope that Governor Sanwo-Olu will build on his numerous achievements in the first term, especially in the areas of infrastructure, education, health, transportation, roads, agriculture and youth empowerment (job creation), to mention a few.
There is also the renewed hope by the people of Lagos State of enhanced socio-economic development.
We are optimistic of a very brighter future for all residents of Lagos State.
We are also optimistic that the relationship between the media and the state government will wax stronger in the present dispensation for effective dissemination of policies and programmes of the government.
The governor should also give priority attention in appointing more journalists into some key positions in the state government.
